We left Buffalo day 1. Got to LeClaire Iowa by dinner time and went straight to Antique Archeology. (the store owned by Mike Wolfe on American Pickers) We spent the night in Iowa and then the next day we headed out for our first Laura Ingalls Wilder / “Little House” stop. Burr Oak Iowa. As you can see, Burr Oak is at the top of Iowa and is very close to Wisconsin.
We saw some cool sights on the way to Burr Oak.
This was our “Home on the road” for 22 days. (We didn’t sleep in it, we stayed at hotels, cabins or B&B’s. More on that later).
